Pricing Billing Pre-Sales

Pricing

How do I find out the price for my web plan?

On the Pricing page, enter the quantities for the following:

Email addresses. Youmust have 1, and the maximum is 999.

Disk space in Mbytes. This is the space taken up by your web pages, databases, email, etc. Keep in mind that you might be receiving emails that are several Mbyte in size, which is why we've set a minimum of 10 Mbyte. The maximum is 5 Gbyte (5000 Mbyte).

Monthly data transfer in Gbytes. To estimate this, get out pencil and paper. Consider how many visitors you expect, and what they might download.

MySQL servers. You will need 1 server (database) for each forum, blog, mailing list, etc.)

Additional domains to be multi-hosted. You can have more than one domain!

Billing currency. PayPal will bill you in your own currency if it's on the list.

Then click on 'Price Me'. You can change quantities and click again as often as you like. Experiment! Evaluate!

The price today is not the same as it was yesterday for the same plan

On the first of each month, we upload a new currency conversion chart. This might make small adjustments to some of the pricing.

Pre-Sales

How do I move my site from my old host to your servers?

Transferring your account to us can be an easy process with zero downtime if done properly. To do so you only need a little preparation and to allow for about 3-4 days overlap between the two hosts. Your primary concern is having control of your domain names. This is paramount, as you will need to be able to change the name servers for the domain name.

Back to the beginning of Pre-Sales Back to the Index

Can you summarise the process?
  1. Purchase a new hosting account with us WAZU JAPAN. With your login information for your new account with us upload your web content to the new server and configure any email addresses you use/need via IP address.
  2. Once the new server is tested and functions as needed via IP address, log in to your domain name registrar interface and update the DNS name servers to (ns1.wazu.jp & ns2.wazu.jp)
  3. (optional) If you use a high traffic, database driven site, it is wise to set-up remote access to the database on your old web hosting server during the DNS propagation process. This ensures that your database stays in sync and up to date all on one server.
  4. Continue to check email on both the old and new hosting servers via IP address to ensure that no communications are lost during the DNS propagation.
  5. After about 72 hours DNS propagation should be complete and if all testing shows your new account is fully functional you can close the old account.
  6. (optional) If you chose to use remote access listed in step 3 you will need to shutdown your site using a temporary webpage or to let your users know there is some work in progress for a moment. Transfer your database from the old server, set your connection script to use the "local” database, and turn your site back on.
  7. Close your old account at your previous provider.

How long after I sign up can I start building my site?

Your domain will be set up as soon as your payment is verified. You will then get an email with all of the access details to allow you to build your site.

It will take a little bit longer for your domain name to actually work on the web though! New domain registrations and DNS transfers typically take 24-48 hours to work while the DNS propagates across the Internet.

What kind of network connections do you have?

We are connected to the Internet via multiple A gig-E and ds-3 connections to different carriers to ensure continued network connectivity in case any one (or more) carrier(s) goes down. Each connection is carried across a diversified fibre network and connects to different backbone providers. We also keep our bandwidth unsaturated. We have plenty of extra capacity, with the option to quickly add more bandwidth or additional carriers. We use Cisco routers, and keep spare hardware on hand in the event of hardware failure.

Where are your servers

Atlanta, Georgia, USA

I want you to host my .jp {.au .sg etc) account. Why don't you have a server in my country

Internet connectivity is far better in the US than any other country, as is infrastructure costing.

You should find that the response time from our site rivals that from your own country.

To check, open a DOS window, and enter 'ping wazu.jp'. Compare the response times with those obtained by pinging a well-known local site.
